Ralph Lauren is well known for clothing and home design inspiration. But premium beef? The Double RL Ranch is actually a vacation property for the Lauren family that also raises beef for the Ralph Lauren restaurants in Paris (Ralph’s), New York (The Polo Bar), and Chicago (RL Bar). Of course, everything that RL does is top shelf. The quality of the beef that his outfit produces is truly amazing.
Occasionally, this Double RL Ranch Angus is made available to select restaurants. When offered, we figured why not try it. Of course, there are several cuts of beef to choose from and we decided to go with the brisket. We figured a little Matt Ramey, Pine Shed magic on an incredible cut of meat would be out of this world delicious and fun to boot!
According to Matt, the Double RL Ranch brisket is characterized by a “rich, aged flavor to go along with marbling that is out of sight”. The beef is pasture-grazed and hormone free. It’s a fabulous cut of meat that is made even better with a little Lake Oswego home cooking.
